Do you know the valley of the Mines ⛏️ and the Waterfalls ???? of Santa Maria del Taro? I am in the municipality of Tornolo, in the province of Parma, on the border with Liguria. After passing the hamlet of Santa Maria, continue towards Pianazzo and shortly before arriving in Grondana there is a small road on your left that goes down towards the Rio Incisa and easily recognizable thanks to the sign that indicates '19th century Copper Mines'. After leaving the car ????, continue on foot following the unmarked but well-beaten path. You arrive at the first mine, that of San Giovanni, very quickly and next to it you can admire the first waterfall of the route????????. You go back slightly following the signs for the Santa Barbara mine????. The path goes up into the woods and after about 10 minutes you begin to glimpse the second waterfall, the highest. Going down to admire it from below is dangerous ⚠️ but doable as long as you are not afraid of slipping????. If you go upstream in the opposite direction to the highest waterfall you can find the entrance to the Santa Barbara mines???? There are other waterfalls visible if you go up the Rio. Reaching the dirt road it is possible to take a beautiful panoramic path that leads to the Piezometric Tower???? KOMOOT TRACK: https://www.komoot.com/it-it/tour/183...
