Thubten Wangchen is a Tibetan Buddhist monk whose life is dedicated to the search for peace and freedom, both for his own Tibetan people and for the world at large. From a very young age, he was forced to leave his home and seek refuge on the streets of India due to the difficult situation in Tibet. An experience that, far from stopping him, opened his heart, strengthening a deep connection with Buddhism and its message of compassion and wisdom. In this video, he tells how education and discipline have been his main tools to embody the great principles of Buddhist philosophy: compassion, wisdom, purity, peace and prosperity: “We all want to prosper and be healthy. We all have projects, big or small. If you have pure motivation, you are at peace, you have wisdom and compassion, in the end the result is prosperity and success. Everything will turn out well, even if there are small problems involved, even if there is jealousy or envy… Don’t think about it, forget about it. Just concentrate on your projects and the rest will come.” He is currently the founding director of the Casa del Tíbet in Barcelona, ​​an important milestone in his life and a meeting place for the spiritual community. Wangchen is an inspiring example who has turned his personal challenges into a call for compassion and love.
