She says: “Artificial intelligence is not going to take your job, but someone who understands how artificial intelligence works will.” She adds: “Artificial intelligence is part of our daily lives, it is up to us how to use it positively in all areas, such as education.” Cristina Aranda has a PhD in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics from the Autonomous University of Madrid and the Ortega y Gasset University Research Institute. She graduated in Hispanic Philology from the Autonomous University of Madrid. And what does a linguist do in the world of the most advanced technology? Her work focuses on so-called “Natural Language Processing,” which is based on making machines understand “our wonderful, complex and beautiful communication system: human language,” she explains. She is also co-founder and leader of 'MujeresTech', a non-profit entity that promotes the presence of women in the digital field; and co-founder of Big Onion, a team of disruptive technology solvers (Data, Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain, among others).
