Lukrena as is an agricultural company that farms 3,300 hectares in the southern Pilsen region. They are engaged in the production of market commodities, the cultivation of fodder crops and the breeding of dairy cattle of the Czech spotted cattle and Holstein cattle breeds. Other activities include the operation of a biogas station and orchards in Nebílovy. They try to apply some of the methods of regenerative agriculture on the land, such as direct sowing, extensive use of catch crops and the use of undersowing in rapeseed or cereals. The main reason for using these methods is to protect the soil against erosion. In the first part of our visit, we looked at rapeseed fields undersowed with beans and safflower, crops of catch crops and we will also talk about an experiment in growing wheat undersowed with safflower.
