Donald Trump was elected president of the United States promising to carry out the largest deportations of undocumented immigrants in the country's history. The goal would be to expel one million undocumented foreigners per year, according to Vice President-elect JDVance during the campaign. This is more than double the maximum number of deportations carried out in a single year in the last seven decades. Even so, many undocumented Brazilians who are at risk of deportation say that, if they could, they would have voted for Trump.
