High blood pressure, medically known as arterial hypertension, is the most important cardiovascular risk factor of all and, worldwide, robs people of the most years of life. Worldwide, only 60% of those affected, i.e. 6 out of 10, know that they are affected and of these people who have arterial hypertension, only 10%, i.e. one in 10, are under control!
