68-year-old Colonel-General Najmeddin Huseyn oghlu Sadikov held the important post of First Deputy Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan and Chief of the General Staff for 27 years (1993-2020). He was awarded with "For the Fatherland", "For Military Services" medals, "For Service to the Fatherland", "Azerbaijani Flag", and "Rashadat" orders. But Nacmeddin Sadikov's name is also mentioned in various criminal cases. This includes various criminal cases, from embezzlement of 143 million manats in the Ministry of Defense and its subordinate institutions, non-return of a loan of 42 million manats taken from "AtaBank" to "Tartar tortures". Accusations against Sadykov are included in the documents related to these cases and in the statements given later in court. That's why the interrogation of Sadikov has been requested many times in both investigative bodies and courts, petitions have been filed in this regard. However, the answer to all these demands was unequivocally "no". Investigative bodies and the court did not want to interrogate Najmeddin Sadykov or were unable to do so.
