I'm finally back after about 2 months of vacation! Following the lead I left in the first episode of the Getting Started at 40 series, in General Knowledge I said that it was mandatory to know about Git. Well, I finally managed to make an episode to cover this subject. However, unlike any other video that would give a tutorial on the basic commands, I'm not going to teach any commands or workflow. Instead, I want to tell you some stories about how I started using Git and what convinced me to insist on using it more than 10 years ago when basically no one outside the Linux kernel development project was interested. We're going to dive deep into understanding how Git works and its basic structure, and knowing this I think you'll start to be much more interested in understanding more about this tool and maybe even look at what you do in a very different way!
