The scientific discoveries of the last fifteen years on the brain have been spectacular and promise to be even more so in the near future. However, in the era of new technologies and all-digital that increasingly manage our professional and personal daily lives, it is appropriate to question the capacities of our brain: are we still free to make decisions? How can we maintain and develop our intuition? What is the impact of social ties on our brain? Professor Pierre-Marie Lledo, a former student of the Ecole Normale Supérieure, has directed the "Perception and Memory" research laboratory since 2001 and then the Department of Neurosciences since 2014, both located at the Pasteur Institute. Since 2004, he has also directed the "Genes and Cognition" research laboratory at the CNRS. He is a member of the European Academy of Sciences. In light of his recent discoveries, PM Lledo invites us to revisit the notion of "free will" and understand the relationship between intellect and affect. This expertise allows us to better understand brain architecture to increase our own performance. It allows a better understanding of human psychology. Through practical exercises, Pierre-Marie Lledo invites us to maintain our brain and optimize our decision-making.
