SOLOK, KOMPAS.TV - The West Sumatra Police Inafis Team conducted a crime scene investigation of the shooting of the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Solok Police to uncover the motive for the shooting. The crime scene investigation was conducted in the parking lot of the South Solok Police Headquarters, where the perpetrator, AKP Dadang Iskandar, shot the victim. At the crime scene, officers found two bullet casings used by the perpetrator. Previously, the West Sumatra Police also collected a number of pieces of evidence, in the form of a car and a firearm used by the perpetrator to shoot the victim. On Friday (11/22/2024) early morning, the Head of Operations of the South Solok Police, AKP Dadang Iskandar, who was the perpetrator of the shooting, surrendered himself to the West Sumatra Police. Previously, the police had hunted down the perpetrator who was suspected of hiding in South Solok Regency. The West Sumatra Propam has questioned 5 people in this case. Meanwhile, regarding the motive, the West Sumatra Police Chief, Inspector General Suharyono, said that it was still under investigation, including any connection to the investigation into the illegal mining case currently being handled by the South Solok Police. However, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo denied any internal conflict related to the investigation. The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) firmly asked the police not to only focus on uncovering the motive for the shooting case. Kompolnas Commissioner, Choirul Anam, encouraged the West Sumatra Police to investigate the connection between the regulation of illegal C mining and uncovering the actors involved. After the post-mortem process, the body of the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Solok Police, West Sumatra, AKP Ryanto Ulil Anshar, was returned to his hometown in Makassar. Before being sent off, the body was released with a service ceremony attended by relatives and representatives of the victim's family.
