Can the nomadism of words offer us a model of culture that educates? Umberto Galimberti is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy of History at Ca' Foscari University of Venice, where he also taught Dynamic Psychology, Moral Philosophy and Cultural Anthropology. He was a full member of the IAAP (International Association for Analytical Psychology). An expert on Karl Jaspers, of whom he has translated several texts, he has also studied the thought of Martin Heidegger and Carl Gustav Jung, the links between psychopathology and philosophy, phenomenological psychiatry, the limits of psychoanalysis and philosophical practice. Fixing his gaze on the boundaries between reason and madness, in his studies he has investigated with a genealogical method the notions of symbol, body and soul, making visible the traces of the sacred that persist in our civilization dominated by technology and dedicating studies to the youthful discomfort in the age of nihilism. Recently, he has published some volumes aimed at a young audience, with a work of adaptation of the words of philosophy. He has collaborated with "La Repubblica" and is present in the public debate. The publisher Feltrinelli publishes the edition of his Works, some of which have been translated into French, German, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, Slovenian, Czech, Greek and Japanese.
