This mass genocide against the Kazakh nation was covered up by the Stalinist regime. During this difficult time for the USSR, Europe and America extended a helping hand. American Relief Administration (ARA) and American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) saved more than 10 million lives from starvation to death. This aid was never officially acknowledged by the communist regime of the USSR.
