The Tatkabel industry plant was built in Kazan. It is the only place in Russia where ultra-high voltage cables are manufactured and tested. These cables are used to create energy rings for megacities, and they are laid at the country's main construction sites. Tatkabel is part of a large group of companies whose main focus is energy. A dozen plants are scattered across Tatarstan. The work of some of them is presented in this issue. You will learn how the largest cables in the country are manufactured, how ultra-high voltage cables are tested, and how and where power grid equipment is manufactured for, for example, Russian Railways.
