EN: On December 15, 2024, the last special trip before the deadline for the time being took place for the EIII/5U. The train will be completely preserved, but it is not yet known when the HU will take place. The big surprise was the meeting of the historic S-Bahn with the EIII/5U train in Wuhletal. A big thank you to the various people involved who made this possible! An interesting comparison was made between the "Stadtbahner" and the EIII train, as technical components from the "Stadtbahner" were installed in the historic EIII train. The GBM700 motors in particular make the S-Bahn origins immediately apparent. As a special Advent trip, the EIII/5U train did a few laps on the U5. Other partially unpublished scenes from various special trips from recent years round off the video. I have also included interior shots of the EIII/1, which was presented at Alexanderplatz in 2010.
