Heiko Röhr has an unusual job combination: he is both employed and self-employed – and has also chosen two completely different professions. In Munich, the 35-year-old works as a graphic designer and at the same time as a special needs care assistant at Lebenshilfe. For him, this means juggling work schedules and customer orders. But it also brings him a lot of joy because he can a) work with people and b) express himself creatively. As a graphic designer, he works around 30 hours a week, while at Lebenshilfe he is employed part-time for 20 hours a week. We accompany him on a typical working day: in the morning he looks after his graphic business (including negotiating a higher fee) and in the afternoon he goes to the residential group where people with mild mental disabilities live. In his job, Heiko supports them with many everyday tasks such as dealing with the authorities – or, like today, with cooking training. This combination of two jobs is now also financially worthwhile for him. However, this was not always the case. Because Heiko founded a start-up in the past that came to nothing. He still has to pay off the debts for that today. As always, you can find out more about that, his finances and his career in the pinned comment. #Selfemployed #Salary #Career --- This is "Is it worth it?": One person, one job, one life. And at the end of the day, the question: Is it worth it? We accompany people in their careers and show their lives. Is it worth it to work for a salary and use it to finance your own life? What makes me happy about work? We don't just compare salaries, we show how people live from their work. We are always looking for protagonists: If you also want to show how you live with your job, feel free to write to [email protected]! On a personal note: We are not infallible either - and although we make every effort to present every individual financial situation clearly, correctly and understandably, we sometimes need help. The Bavarian State Association of Tax Advisory and Auditing Professions provides us with expert support time and again – thank you very much for that!
