Reform Commission's draft; Parliament will be bicameral, total seats 505 According to the draft proposal, there will be 400 seats in the lower house of parliament, and elections will be held under the current system. Out of these, 100 seats will be reserved for women. They will be elected directly. And there will be 105 seats in the upper house. Elections will be held under the proportional system. The total number of seats in the two houses of parliament will be 505. The remaining 100 seats in the upper house will be elected under the proportional representation system. Parties will get seats in the upper house in proportion to the number of votes they get in the elections across the country.
