We invite you to the latest edition of Żyrardów Television, including: Last week, a cooperation agreement was signed in the Office of the Office for the implementation of a project concerning the development of bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure in the municipalities of Żyrardów County. President Lucjan Krzysztof Chrzanowski signed it with the authorities of: the Commune of Radziejowice, the City and Commune of Wiskitki, the Commune of Mszczonów and the Commune of Puszcza Mariańska. In accordance with the assumptions, the entities participating in the agreement committed to take all necessary actions to obtain funding for the implementation of the investment. The leader of the project will be the City of Żyrardów. On September 5, the first Deskal in the city was unveiled in the Social Welfare Home, i.e. a painting on a wooden wall of a house. The work is based on an archival photograph showing the residents of the first shelter on Wiskicka Street in Żyrardów. The Deskal was created by an artist from the Sanok area, Arkadiusz Andrejkow. During the event, there was no shortage of live music, refreshments and an exhibition of works prepared by the residents of the Social Welfare Home. The National Reading is behind us. This year, at the Culture Centre in Żyrardów, invited guests familiarised themselves with the reading of Kordian by Juliusz Słowacki. Fragments of it were read by graduates and students of the Stefan Żeromski High School in Żyrardów: Wiktor Józefowicz, Stanisław Łankowski, Michał Matyj and Aleks Kunda. Actor and narrator Filip Kosior also presented his skills, delivering Kordian's monologue on the summit of Mont Blanc. Let us recall that the nationwide campaign of the National Reading aims to promote reading and draw attention to the wealth of Polish literature. The Linen Museum hosts an exhibition of ARTISTIC FABRICS. Their authors are Sylwia Ignatowska and Sylwia Haluch. The works feature intricate quilting, spatial compositions, a mix of colours and textures. The camera of the Żyrardów Television was present at the opening of this extraordinary exhibition... On Saturday, September 7th, the residents of Żyrardów could not be bored. The day was full of attractions. Among other things, the 6th Żyrardów Bike Rally named after Grzegorz Jaroszewski took place, which started at the Cycling Track and ended at the Eco Park, where a family picnic with a bonfire awaited the participants. The next event was a combination of two events, the Culture and Art Festival: Mały ŻOF - Get to Know Your Neighbor and Hip Hop Jam. The event was full of food trucks, exhibitions, workshops and stands filled with art. There were also concerts by artists such as Cugowski-phero, DJ Adamus and Sarius. In addition, the audience was entertained by: Arczer, Łapa, Szymi x Konddi. The star of the evening was Vix.N. The next weekend is also getting ready for a lot... The European Heritage Days are ahead of us. From September 13 to 15, as part of the EDD, a rich artistic program will be carried out in Żyrardów for both the younger and slightly older. It will include a conference summarizing 20 years of Żyrardów revitalization, a walk with a city guide, a tour of local monuments and an outdoor event on the site of the former Bielnik. There will be no shortage of concerts, including a performance by the legendary band Universe.
