In search of copper and gold, I am dismantling an old Soviet Elektron TV for scrap metal. Let's see how much copper and other metals can be extracted from it and whether there is any copper in the TV at all. Perhaps, during the dismantling process, we will be able to find valuable radio components that contain gold and silver, as well as other valuable parts. I have already dismantled a similar TV for scrap metal, but that was a different model, and I don't know yet what is inside this Elektron. The TV is quite heavy and it may seem that there is a lot of metal in it, in fact, a significant part of the weight is made up of a heavy glass picture tube and a wooden case, and there is not that much metal in it. First, I removed the back cover from the TV and got to the deflection system, as a rule, there is always a lot of copper in it. Then you should let air into the picture tube, so that the dismantling is safe, I hit the picture tube near the lamp, punched a small hole and let air into it, I did not find anything valuable in the picture tube lamp itself. Gradually, I took out all the internal components of the TV, which consisted mainly of boards. Many elements of the TV are attached inside and you have to unscrew many different fasteners inside the TV. The wooden case of the TV can be used as fuel for the stove. I broke the TV's picture tube and found some metal in it in the form of a frame and a grid, there was also metal in the anti-explosion bandage that is around the picture tube. A good catch of copper came from the demagnetization loop, it consists of copper wire and goes around the picture tube, the copper demagnetization loop is wrapped in white insulating fabric. Also, a lot of copper was found on various small coils that were both in the deflection system and on various boards. On the TV boards, I managed to find radio components containing gold and silver, there were not very many parts with gold, but they are still there. As for silver, in order to get something from the parts that are in the TV, you need to collect a lot of them and you need more than one such TV. Ultimately, the result on gold and copper and generally disassembling the TV for metal pleased. I hope this video about copper mining from a TV will be useful and informative, will bring practical benefit to someone. I wish everyone a successful search, collection and cash delivery of scrap metal, especially non-ferrous metals and copper. Enjoy watching everyone! Thank you all for watching!
