Video by Filippo R. First of two videos about the SFM line 1 of the city of Turin. Line 1 is in turn composed of 2 railways: the Trofarello - Chieri and the Canavesana. In fact, the SFM line 1 starts from Chieri, then enters the railway hub of the city of Turin (stopping, for example, at Turin Lingotto) and from Settimo Torinese leaves the route managed by RFI, to enter the part managed by GTT, the Canavesana. The Canavesana is a 40 km railway that connects, as mentioned, Settimo Torinese to Rivarolo Canavese and Pont Canavese. The part from Settimo to Rivarolo is electrified, while the subsequent part, up to Pont is used exclusively by diesel traction vehicles (2 ALn 668).
