A traverse from Mt. Tsurugidake to Mt. Daitenjo! I went on a 2-day, 1-night tent hike from Mt. Tsurugidake, the starting point of the Northern Alps Omote Ginza, to Mt. Daitenjo. From the Nakabusa Onsen trailhead, I climbed Kassen Ridge, one of the three steepest climbs in the Northern Alps, and went to Kassengoya to eat the famous sweet watermelon. I ate delicious katsu curry at Tsurugidake Sanso, and enjoyed a pleasant walk along the traverse route, where I could enjoy the spectacular views of the Northern Alps. I set up my tent at the Daitenso tent site and went to the top of Mt. Daitenjo to watch the sunset. It was a spectacular 360-degree panoramic view of the Yari-Hotaka mountain range, including Mt. Yari and Mt. Okuhotaka.
