My Peterbilt 579 has covered 500,000 miles and I stopped for a scheduled repair in Las Vegas. And it is very important to do such scheduled repairs, so as not to get into unplanned downtime and wild mishaps later! My mechanic friend Vitaly came to help with the repair and there was a rather large amount of work ahead on removing the DPF filters for their subsequent burning and cleaning. Also changed the cushions, shock absorbers and many other little things on the truck. I will tell you about this and much more in this series.
