We went to Gare (station) Perrache, where Gare Routière Lyon-Perrache is located, here in Lyon, where our bus will depart! And it went wrong! We were following all the buses that arrived and none of them had the number that was on our ticket or the final destination Geneva, which was also on our ticket! We asked on another floor of the Gare about the bus and they told us that it had already left and that we missed it, simple as that! But the bus wasn't there! It was a mess and there was no one on the bus platform to give us information! So we decided that we would take the train to Geneva! We quickly bought our ticket on the SNCF website: sncf-connect.com We went to another station here in Lyon, Gare Lyon Part-Dieu, where everything is very well signposted, with arrival and departure screens, train departure platforms, lots of staff to provide information and, in addition, we even received a message confirming the time of our train and its arrival here at the station! To leave Paris for Geneva, you will leave from the Gare de Lyon station in Paris on the SNCF high-speed train, the TGV, and buy your ticket on the SNCF website that we listed above. And from Lyon, leave from Gare Lyon Part-Dieu on the regional train, which is a slightly slower train and makes stops along the way and then we will arrive in Geneva at Gare Genève Cornavin. Arriving in Switzerland, in Geneva at Gare Genève Cornavin CFF, we went through Douane = customs, which is very easy!
