A tribute concert organized by the KE of the KKE on Monday, March 28 in Perissos, to honor the great Greek composer Yiannis Markopoulos, The first part was the presentation of the emblematic work of G. Markopoulos "Chroniko", in verses by K. X. Myri, which was presented for the first time in 1969 at the historical studio "Ledra" and in the same year commissioned Nikos Xylouris and Maria Dimitriadis to perform the recording of the work on the album. In the concert, the "sergiani" in the moments of Greek history, in its lessons, in the "split years", in the power of the people, in the "resurrected day when the people will play their many songs for freedom", performed by the Natassa Bofiliou and Miltos Paschalidis. The second part of the concert, where Lakis Chalkias, Charalambos Garganourakis, Dafni Zournatzis and Georgia Fasoulakis took the lead in the interpretation, consisted of selections from the composer's works, some of the most well-known, beloved and thousands-sung songs. And many other favorite pieces followed, selections from various works of the composer: "Ah. Platane mou", "From a great love" in lyrics by Polis Kyriakou and "Ek batheon" in poetry by Giorgos Voloudakis, from the song cycle "Enteuthen", "Beyond the sea" in lyrics by Errikos Thalassinos and "Destroyed houses" in lyrics Noti Pergiali from "The first songs", "O ochtroi" in lyrics by Giorgos Skourtis, "Ellada (Lengo)" and "Zavara-Katra-Nemia" in lyrics by the composer, from the series of songs "Independently", the "Prologue for Athanasios Diakos", "The words and the years" and "Malamatenia words" in lyrics by Manos Eleftheriou , from the musical work "Titia", "Under Margarita's threshing floor" in poetry by Odysseus Elytis, from the musical work "Sun the first", "I speak for my children" and "The Factory" in lyrics by Giorgos Skourtis, from the song cycle "Emigrants", "A thousand thousand waves away from Aivali" in lyrics K. X. Myri, from the musical work "Citizenship", "Your image (Colors and aromas)" in lyrics by Michalis Katsaros, from the song series "The songs of the new father", "Complaining words" in lyrics by Manos Eleftheriou, from the cycle of songs "Sergiani in the world".
