"The history of Poland begins in 966". This whole sentence is a simplification, and the date is purely conventional - each country has its symbolic beginning. When learning history at school, we focus on what happened after this date. We don't really care about what happened before. This is partly because there are few written sources for the earlier period. However, this does not mean that we know nothing! On the contrary, we know more and more with each passing year! This is what Prof. ANDRZEJ BUKO and EWELINA SIEMIANOWSKA talk about. The event is co-organized with the Museum of the Origins of the Polish State in Gniezno. ------------------------------- SUBSCRIBE TO LIVING ARCHAEOLOGY! --------------------------- http://bit.ly/e-prenumerataAZ ???? ---------------------------------- TABLE OF CONTENTS -------------------------------- 00:00 Introduction 03:20 BEGINNING OF THE PRESENTATION 04:10 The great reorientation of trade and exchange 08:00 Early medieval Slavic tribes 09:00 Diversity of forms of strongholds 11:00 Western Pomerania 13:33 The most famous trade emporia: Wolin, Truso and Puck? 20:30 Mazovia and the Vistula-Bug route 23:00 Central strongholds of Mazovia – Płock and Włocławek 32:30 Central Poland and strongholds on the borders of the regions 38:38 Tablets from Podebłocie – Christians among Pagans? 41:00 Upland cult centers in Silesia and Lesser Poland 43:00 Silesia - the Odra Trail, stone castles and the influence of Great Moravia 46:00 Lesser Poland - great castles of the "Vistulans" and great mounds 51:20 Did the Vistulans really exist? 53:30 Settlement complex around Chodlik - castles on the Chodelka 58:50 Castles in the Polesie swamps 1:01:40 Magyar colony in the Przemyśl Gate 1:02:30 What about Greater Poland - more here • Rivals of the Piast dynasty? - Andrzej Buko ... 1:03:30 Additional reading 1:04:10 What can you see at the “PrzedPolska” exhibition - in Gniezno until 02/10/2022 1:08:00 BEGINNING OF THE DISCUSSION 1:09:10 Does everything unknown have to be cultic? 1:10:40 Has the Majdan hillfort of Piotrówka in Radom been investigated? 1:11:00 Could the Hungarians from Przemyśl be connected to the marriage of Bolesław the Brave? 1:12:50 Was the small number of hillforts in Mazovia the result of numerous conflicts? 1:15:00 Were all communities united by the cremation rite? 1:18:00 To what extent do the mentioned names of tribes reflect the reality of the time? 1:20:30 On what basis are the territorial boundaries of tribes established? 1:22:50 Should we use the term "tribe"? 1:24:15 Genetic research is our future! 1:28:33 Farewells 1:33:30 Thanks to subscribers!
