About :

We are very pleased to announce the completion of the two-year project "Travels with a Library in the Background", thanks to which the Adam Próchnik Municipal Public Library in Piotrków Trybunalski could get even closer to the local community! Thanks to the support of the BLISKO - Library Locality Initiative Community Cooperation Grassroots program (2023-2024) which is part of the National Reading Development Program 2.0 under Priority 4, we managed to: • Strengthen local ties, promoting the library as a "third place" - a space for meetings, cooperation and joint action. • Develop local partnerships, making the library a center of culture, creativity and integration. • Raise the competences of the library team to even better respond to the needs and potential of our community. • Share experiences with other libraries in Poland by participating in the nationwide exchange of good practices. We would like to thank everyone involved in this project – residents, partners (Creative Photography Association, Villa Arte Fine Arts High School in Piotrków Trybunalski, TEB Edukacja in Piotrków Trybunalski), as well as the National Centre for Culture for financial and substantive support. Thanks to you, the library has become a place truly close to each of us!
