It was my first time traveling by bus in India, but the major AC bus type used was Nuego, and the interior was cleaner than I expected. There are many different types of buses in India (those with bed seats, non-AC buses, and AC buses), and this was one of them, but the bus I took this time was far more comfortable than those in Laos and Bangladesh. You'll just have to accept the mosquitoes and flies roaming around inside the bus (^_^;) By the way, when making reservations for buses in India, you can use a website called RedBus to make payments and reservations even if you don't have an Indian number.
