Travel itinerary for Uruguay, Punta Del Este, Montevideo, Colonia del Sacramento with prices! Are you looking to travel to Uruguay, but don't know if it's worth it? Or what documents are needed? Don't worry about that, because in this video I'll show you the complete itinerary with all the information you need to visit Uruguay by car. Our trip started in the city of Bombinhas - SC, we left at 4 am towards Punta Del Este in Uruguay, it was a 12-hour trip to the border between Brazil and Uruguay in the city of Chuí in Rio Grande do Sul, only stopping for fuel. In the city of Chuí is where you must do your immigration to enter Uruguay and here is a list of documents you need to have on hand: ID valid for 10 years. Car document in the name of the driver. Green Card insurance. With just these 3 documents you can already do immigration and enter Uruguay. It took us about 10 to 15 minutes to fill out the paperwork, which was very easy to do. Then we continued our journey to Punta Del Este, where we spent another 3 hours driving to our destination. In total, it was a 15-hour journey from Bombinhas, SC, to Punta Del Este, Uruguay. Punta Del Este is an incredible city, a calm, peaceful, and very clean and organized place. The city has excellent infrastructure for tourists, with many restaurants and accommodations. However, the cost of living in Uruguay is very expensive! Be prepared, because prices are much higher than in Brazil. For example, a bottle of water cost R$20.00, while gasoline cost R$10.00 per liter, which is very high for us Brazilians. This is the only negative point about Punta Del Este and Uruguay itself. The rest was all excellent. The security in the city is also very good. We didn't have any problems with that. Another valuable tip is that if your intention is just to get to know the place and do some sightseeing, it is worth staying in the city for 2 or 3 days, which is enough to see everything. I do not recommend staying longer than that amount of days, as the place is small and there is not much to do in many days. My final opinion about Punta Del Este is that it is well worth visiting. I would definitely visit again, as the city has excellent infrastructure, everything is very beautiful, organized, clean and safe. The tourist attractions are also very beautiful, the place deserves a 10. From Punta Del Este we went to the city of Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay. It took us about 2 and a half hours by car to get there. Montevideo is a big and busy city, with chaotic traffic on weekdays, very different from the calm of Punta Del Este. I recommend that you only stay 1 or 2 days in the city, which is enough to see all the tourist attractions. Remember that Montevideo does not have many tourist attractions. The safety is relatively safe, we didn't have any problems with that, but it's always good to be careful, as it's a big city. Personally, I wouldn't go back to Montevideo, I think that just one visit to the city is enough to get to know it, it wasn't a place that really caught my attention. Leaving Montevideo, we went to the city of Colonia del Sacramento, which was another 2-hour drive, the city is incredible and definitely gets a 10 out of 10. The city is wonderful, with a beautiful historic center full of stories and architecture that has survived the test of time. The ideal is to stay only 2 days in the city, as the place is small and you can quickly see everything there. In short, traveling by car to Uruguay is well worth it, a very safe and peaceful country, with beautiful roads and infrastructure, it's definitely a country I'll go back to and recommend to all my friends to visit, the only negative point is the cost of living, which is much more expensive than in Brazil.
