Today, thanks to increasingly powerful telescopes installed on Earth and in Space, aboard satellites, we observe stars that are increasingly distant. How do we precisely measure the distance of these stars, from the bodies of the Solar System that hosts us, to the confines of the Universe? This is one of the key questions that scientists ask themselves. How far will we be able to scrutinize our Universe? Is there a physical limit to the observation of the distant Universe? Space and time are two inseparable entities. Looking far into space also means going back in time, very far into the past. Can we hope to go back in time to the Big Bang, the original explosion of our nascent Universe?
