She was given an opiate without her consent that paralyzed her body. When she asked for help, the midwife laughed at her. A traumatizing experience for Nataša. When she was pregnant for the second time, she wanted to do everything differently and brought in a doula, a non-medical midwife. Gina Tanner Gobine also experienced violence during childbirth. She felt that the doctor and midwife did not take her seriously, and the controversial Kristeller maneuver was used without prior information and without her consent. In order to spare other women this and similar situations, she is training to be a doula.
