Russian sociologists, Maxim Shugaley and his companion and translator Samer Sueifan, travel to a war-torn country on an official invitation. Their mission: to conduct a sociological study among the civilian population. But during their work they come across explosive information that could cost the "puppet" regime dearly and must not leave Libya under any circumstances. The two are kidnapped and taken to a secret prison, where they wait for over a year under torture and humiliation for an indictment. Diplomatic efforts to resolve the case peacefully reach a dead end. ???? A gripping film about courage, hope and the fight for freedom, based on true events.
