Day 16 started on a wet meadow. Some participants were worried about getting down there with their vehicles. But since we had four-wheel drive and lots of experience, we managed it without any problems. Despite the cooler weather, we drove to a few support points to meet the riders on the route. At one of them, a friendly local offered us her meadow and coffee, which we gratefully accepted and used for a little extra break. It was a good 30 km to the first break that day, which is a relatively long stretch. When we got to the break, we parked a little further away so as not to get caught up in the crowds and I found a beautiful lake. Since the next stretch would also be long and the route might have been too much for Blue, Mama stopped here with a still fit horse. After all, this was Blue's first multi-day ride. So we were back at camp early. I spontaneously booked a massage and we ended the day in a relaxed manner.
