Now that everyday life has had a full grip on us again for a while, I've finally got around to finishing the rest of the videos. Day 12 started at the beautiful Harzburg Castle. The beautiful view was somewhat marred the day before by a very nasty incident with hornets. As a result, the route was slightly changed at the beginning. Wolfgang and I decided to trot together. Before the first trot point, however, he had to go to a disposal station, so I went for a short walk with Dodger there before the riders arrived. Many small groups arrived very close together. Since Mum and her fellow rider wanted to get some distance from the others, we took plenty of time at the trot point to feed and water and quickly agreed which of us trotters (and the other riders) would be where on the route. This is always important for the riders to know in case they were considering deviating from the route. Afterwards, Wolfgang and I wanted to meet in break 1, when Mama also wanted to stop, as we had already covered 30 km by then and the day was once again very warm. On the way there, however, we received a call from another supporter saying that the planned break point was in a swine fever area and that an alternative was currently being sought. Thankfully, this was quickly found. As Wolfgang and I don't like to rush into the crowds of parking spaces at the break points, we look for a nearby depot and ask for permission to park there. This was another very nice encounter and a little more relaxed for us. So we went on foot with our cars, or for me with our bike and trailer, to the stop. There, Mama finished the ride in the rankings as planned and we drove to the destination. Here, once again, there was no signal. But as we still had some time, after a short nap, I went for a nice long lap with Dodger and then relaxed to end the evening. I listened to the preliminary discussion from my tent.
