Parque Lage is located in the Jardim Botânico neighborhood and is a beautiful place to visit. The trail from Parque Lage to Corcovado is well signposted and takes about 3 hours to go and return, depending on your pace. It starts off easy, but after the via ferrata (iron clamps on the rock) there is a more tiring section. Nothing that you can't overcome, just make a few short stops. It is a good opportunity to practice foreign languages, since there are people from all over the world passing by you. It is quite safe. Only at the end, when you reach the concrete track, is it a good idea to watch out for the transport vans and their rude drivers. There are some places to park in front of Parque Lage. The rule is to always arrive early, although the park does not open very early. Be sure to do this trail, which is one of the most beautiful in the world. To visit Christ the Redeemer, there is a side staircase with a turnstile, where you have to pay an entrance fee. Check the prices according to the time of year and the current promotions.
