There are several reasons to invest in US companies and stocks: greater growth, innovation, recognition, selection and coverage. Historically, the stock market in the USA has done better than the rest of the world, Norway included. This is thanks to companies such as Apple, Tesla, Netflix, Microsoft, Google, Amazon. They have given returns of several thousand percent and led the American market. If you don't want to choose a single company, you can invest through Norwegian index funds, some DNB/Nordnet's USA funds or American ETFs such as VOO, VYM or QQQ. I personally only invest in American shares and have had good luck with that. The market usually follows the USA, but at the same time they have managed to recover more quickly from stock market crashes and have had stronger growth in good times. You can trade US stocks via a regular stock and fund account, investment zero, IPS or apps like eToro. You pay tax as usual and otherwise it is just like holding Norwegian shares. I make videos about shares and want to share my knowledge and experience with investing with them. I talk about how to get started, buy and manage shares. Hopefully both beginners and experienced stockists can get something out of my videos and I will try to make videos for all skill levels. There are so many channels in English, so it's time we started a Norwegian one! Everything I say in the video is based on my personal experience and knowledge and is not intended as economic/financial advice.
