The free trade agreement between Mercosur and the European Union could generate a 2% increase in Brazilian agricultural production, equivalent to US$ 11 billion per year, according to a study by the Institute of Applied Economic Research (Ipea). From January to October this year, Brazil exported 92 thousand tons of beef to the European bloc, which represents 2.66% of the total shipped by the country in the period.
