We continue our acquaintance with the updated Toyota Camry 2021. Let me remind you that last time our comparative test pitted the base Camry 2.0 against a similar 2-liter Kia K5, and today we have a version with a 2.5 engine in our hands. It also has a completely new power unit: instead of the previous 2AR-FE engine, there is a more powerful A25A-FKS unit from the modern Dynamic Force family, and instead of a 6-speed automatic, there is an 8-speed from the 3.5 version. Were these changes useful or were they just implemented for show? To properly understand this, we took another Korean competitor of the Camry - the Hyundai Sonata, of course, also 2.5. In theory, the Sonata attracts with a bright design, an interesting interior and a favorable price-option ratio.
