Since March 7 this year, Sweden has been a full member of the defense and security policy alliance NATO. The entry into the alliance means a historic change for the direction of Sweden's defense and security policy, with subsequent consequences both internationally, nationally and at the local level. In this seminar, we will investigate in different ways how NATO membership affects Sweden, conscription and how we are locally affected in Kalmar and Öland. How has the Swedish Armed Forces worked since we became full members of NATO in March? What does NATO membership mean for the thousands of young Swedes who do or have done their military service? How do you work locally with NATO membership and the more insecure environment in which we live? These questions, and many more, will be discussed during the seminar. The seminar can be seen afterwards on our YouTube channel.
