Welcome back friends of Nanga! Today we are playing at home, we are in Valle Elvo and our goal is to conquer the Torre del Faggio following a climbing route called Via dell'Uluk (for a detailed description see www.montagnabiellese.com) 04:06 L1 5b 07:30 L2 5c 10:39 L3 3 11:30 L4 5b 14:45 L5 6a 21:00 L6 4c 22:46 L7 5c After leaving the car on the Oropa track, coinciding with the signs for the Coda Refuge, we go up the dirt road for a few hairpin bends until we reach Raja di Graglia where we turn right and following a few cairns we begin to climb more decisively off the path. We cross a stretch of woods and reach a scree that takes us to the left and leads us into a canal. We then reach another short section of scree and with a little patience we finally find the start of our route. After these first 450 m of rather wild approach we can prepare for the rock. It is a route organized in 7 lengths with a maximum grade of 6a (only 1 move) and several 5a/b/c points in which to indulge. We alternate in the lead and tackle the various difficulties. Flavio is completely at ease even in the most delicate situations, Carlo struggles a lot but does his job. The 6a move requires flexibility, technique and speed. The other difficult points are essentially slabs to be tackled in adherence. The day is not beautiful but the imperfect weather is not a problem in itself. In any case, it turns out to be an experience full of ideas for growth and that allows us to improve in communication and maneuvers. The route is not trivial and should not be underestimated but it gives strong emotions capable of compensating for all the thrills experienced on the route. We document this experience with a video that is unfortunately not short and probably not very pleasant for the viewer not interested in climbing but that for us is an indelible document of an intense day that we would not like to forget even for a moment. Wishing you a good viewing we ask you to leave a comment and a like, best regards. Nanga Team
