Thomas De Graeve took a road trip across America in the run-up to the presidential elections to map the country's divisions. Thomas goes in search of one of the most influential political groups in the US: conservative evangelical Christians. They hope to turn the US into a Christian nation, where laws are inspired by a very conservative reading of the Bible. They are radically opposed to abortion, gay marriage and the progressive 'woke' ideology. During the presidency of Donald Trump, they were already given access to positions in the highest political echelons. And this year they did everything they could to get him a second term.
