Salih Doglod, aka Luka, spent his working life mainly in mines in the municipality of Zenica. As the Strajani mine, where he worked for 11 years, was closed, he decided to take out a loan from a bank and open his own coal mine. For now, business is going well, and a dozen workers are making solid money in his mine. The problem is the lack of manpower, so Salih offers diggers a daily wage of 200 KM for 10 hours of work. In the area between Tetovo and Stranjan near Zenica, there are dozens of mining pits where hundreds of workers work. They are mostly workers without party ties or money and cannot buy a job in public and state enterprises. It would be good if the authorities granted them concessions for mining coal for minimal money because the mines will still be closed and the miners will lose their jobs. For many, this is the only way to survive with their families. See more in the video story. Join that channel to get access to benefits: / srećko stipović
