When our Tom recently went to taste beer in Utrecht to find out what it costs, it caused a bit of collateral damage. The vases remained intact, but a plant (and possibly an umbrella) was destroyed. It's tragic that this happened in Utrecht of all places, because they are so careful with everything green there. Tom woke up the next morning with a huge nail in his head and when that was over, he was left with a deep-rooted sense of guilt. Ruining someone else's flowerbed, that's just not how that boy was raised. So to make up for it, he bought a new plant and added a bottle of champagne to be on the safe side. Very expensive pink, because it was the plant of a posh lady with a posh clothing store. Fortunately, the umbrella lady accepts his bubbles & flowers warmly. At least, if the meaning of the word 'warmly' can be stretched to 'bordering on a new ice age'.
