Antônio Carlos Brasileiro de Almeida Jobim, better known by his stage name, Tom Jobim, was a Brazilian composer, conductor, pianist, singer, arranger and guitarist recognized worldwide, among others, as the greatest Brazilian artist of all time. On November 21, 1962, Tom performed at the Bossa Nova Festival at Carnegie Hall in New York, with other Brazilian musicians. This was the beginning of Tom Jobim's international career, who lived on the Rio-Los Angeles air bridge in the 1960s. The following year he recorded an album with saxophonist Stan Getz and, in 1967, he recorded with Frank Sinatra. In 1986, already separated from Teresa, he married photographer and lead singer of Banda Nova, Ana Beatriz, with whom he had two children. In the 90s, he abandoned his bohemian lifestyle and was often seen at 8 in the morning, wearing his straw hat, smoking a cigar, and frequenting a café in Leblon.
