Al Son de la Marimba is a Mexican film made in 1940 by various actors, both Mexican and foreign, where Fernando Soler and Sara García lead the cast of this comedy. Fernando Soler plays Palemón Escobar as the likeable and slacker Patriarch of an aristocratic family, currently courting poverty. To replenish the family coffers, the daughter (Marina Tamayo) hopes to marry a millionaire rancher from the State of Chiapas named Felipe del Río (Emilio Tuero).
