A year after the Titan accident, we decided to return to talk about the OceanGate bathyscaphe that probably imploded in the Atlantic Ocean with 5 people on board while diving towards the wreck of the Titanic. The remains of the submarine, which disappeared suddenly on June 18, 2023, were found after four days of exhausting searches at a depth of 3,800 meters: the vessel was completely destroyed and the five people on board were dead. Investigations are still ongoing, but the most likely cause of the accident seems to have been a violent implosion that instantly killed all passengers. But what really happened? What was the bathyscaphe made of? And why would it have imploded? In this video we will analyze the dynamics of the Titan accident with an unpublished 3D reconstruction and we will illustrate the main hypothesis on the cause of the accident, that is, the implosion. 00:00 The 3D reconstruction of the Titan accident 01:21 The journey to the wreck of the Titanic 02:17 What it was like and how many people it housed 03:10 The internal structure of the bathyscaphe 04:29 The difference with other bathyscaphes 05:09 The dive of June 18, 2023 06:06 The role of pressure 06:57 The hypothesis of the implosion of the Titan 08:51 The remains of the Titan 09:29 The possible causes of the implosion 11:35 The Titan did not have third-party certification 11:54 A reflection on the Titan accident OUR RECOMMENDED VIDEOS: • How the implosion of the sub... • Let's debunk the fake news about the Titan, from... • Why we were so involved in the ... • Descending to a depth of 10,900 m in the...
