Joaquín and Pancho are like Batman and Robin, like Holmes and Watson, or you surely prefer them like Captain Trueno and Goliath. Because almost certainly, the career of the first would have been different without the second; equally successful, because talent is impossible to restrain when it is unleashed, but different. Varona, musician, composer and producer, first got on stage with Sabina in 1982 and in these almost 30 years he has collaborated on many of the most popular songs by the Jaén native, as well as having composed songs for other artists. He defines himself on his official Twitter profile as “Musician. Author. From Atleti. Insurgent guitarist”. Between those two passions, football and music, Varona has managed to live off the latter and become an indispensable reference for rock and pop in Spanish in recent decades. And what does a restless man like him do, accustomed to devouring kilometers and getting on stage in a thousand places now that it is time to stay at home? Well, instead of giving in to melancholy, he has decided to take advantage of the possibilities offered by technology to invent some Guitar Classes in times of isolation. “I do these things and I imagine that 500 or 1,000 people will see them,” Pancho Varona tells Alonso Trenado in this video, and adds, “I know that it will only have been useful to 200 or 300.” The reality, however, is that the first three installments of these very special classes have already exceeded 300,000 views on Pancho’s official YouTube channel. A well-deserved reward for a generous gesture. Interview and editing: Text: José L. Álvarez Cedena #ElFuturoEsApasionante #EsApasionante #Vodafone
