It was founded by Andrey Makarevich and Sergey Kavagoe on May 27, 1969[1], they were introduced by Yuri Borzov, who came up with the name of the band "Time Machines".[2][3]. The genre of the band's work includes elements of classic rock, rock and roll, blues and bard songs. The author of the absolute majority of song lyrics and the permanent leader of the group is Andrey Makarevich, the authors of the music are Andrey Makarevich, Alexander Kutikov, Evgeny Margulis, Pyotr Podgorodetsky, Andrey Derzhavin. As a rule, in Mashina Vremeni the authors themselves sing their songs, so the group usually has two to four vocalists at a time.
