(English below) There is a log drop-off spot at Oravikoski village near Kuopio, Finland. Truckloads of logs are taken there, then lifted into the water neatly bundled, and formed into rafts. These rafts are floated down the waterway for about 250 km (150 miles) to the southern regions of Lake Saimaa, to the vicinities of the towns of Joutseno and Lappeenranta.
