All this time, Tabita, his wife, was sure that God would perform a miracle and the transplant would not have to be done, but the miracle was late in coming. After the operation, he develops septicemia and is on the verge of death, then he finds out that his body is rejecting the transplant, then he develops fluid in his lungs and can barely breathe. He suffers from a herniated disc and other complications following the liver transplant. He takes over 20 medications daily and during the filming of this show he is on morphine to be able to endure the pain.
