The first narrow-gauge railways were built as early as 1891. They served numerous sugar factories that operated in the vicinity of the Vistula Delta. They also served as public transport. In their heyday, there was even an express train connecting Gdańsk with Malbork, and the narrow-gauge track network was about 300 km long. In today's film, we set off from Nowy Dwór Gdański, the main ŻKD station. If we wanted to go the other way, after a few kilometres we would reach a cemetery, it is impossible to go any further. It is worth mentioning that a standard-gauge train from Gdańsk also reached Nowy Dwór Gdański, but the service was closed in 2013, and since then the line has been deteriorating year by year. During the summer, the narrow-gauge train from Nowy Dwór Gdański departs for Stegna only on weekends, once a day in the morning, and returns in the evening. In Stegna you can change to a train going to Sztutowo or to Prawy Brzeg Wisły. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the creation of this film. Greetings also to the crew :)
