Dear mini campers, I'm on the road again. A Bavarian is heading to Hesse. I spontaneously decided to drive to the Edersee to have a look around. After all, the 2nd mini camper meeting will take place in May 2022. It is a very special pleasure that the mini camper friends Sandra and Normen, whom I met at the 1st mini camper meeting in Sunthausen, took the time to explore the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park with me. The Eder Dam was built over 100 years ago to ensure shipping on the Weser and the Mittelland Canal in the summer months. The villages of Asel, Berich and Bringhausen had to make way for this and be rebuilt at higher locations. Even today, when the water level in the Edersee is low, you can still marvel at the remains of the old villages and walk along the bottom of the lake. My channel deals with topics such as: travel, mini campers, bike tours and hikes.
